My "Mary" Christmas Runner

Question:  How do you thank the friend that is always there and ready to help, no matter what?
Answer:   You can't.  But you can make them something special that you hope will make them happy and warm their heart.
Merry Christmas to my Best Friend, Mary.
Love you to the moon and back.

Sampler

This was my introduction to quilting back in the 1990's.
I enrolled in a several-week course at the Senior Citizen building at Dodge Park, Sterling Heights.
The instructor was amazing.
I learned so much from her, including making my own templates.
What I learned in this class has been the foundation of my quilting journey.
As quilting is a constant learning process, I am thankful I learned from the best.
These sampler pieces sit in a wicker suitcase in my studio, as a constant reminder of how my passion for making quilts began.  Perhaps one day I will make the rest of the
blocks and finish my sampler quilt started so long ago.

I am thankful to have my passion for quilting.  To take fabric and thread and turn them into things of beauty is simply my happy place.
Quilting is a beautiful thing.
It's my beautiful passion.
