Question: How do you thank the friend that is always there and ready to help, no matter what? Answer: You can't. But you can make them something special that you hope will make them happy and warm their heart.
This was my introduction to quilting back in the 1990's. I enrolled in a several-week course at the Senior Citizen building at Dodge Park, Sterling Heights. The instructor was amazing. I learned so much from her, including making my own templates. What I learned in this class has been the foundation of my quilting journey. As quilting is a constant learning process, I am thankful I learned from the best. These sampler pieces sit in a wicker suitcase in my studio, as a constant reminder of how my passion for making quilts began. Perhaps one day I will make the rest of the blocks and finish my sampler quilt started so long ago.
I am thankful to have my passion for quilting. To take fabric and thread and turn them into things of beauty is simply my happy place. Quilting is a beautiful thing. It's my beautiful passion. ♥♥♥♥♥
